I got a new job…
I’m not overly thrilled with the idea of leaving CHPC — after all, I hate change — but I think I’m at a point where I need to focus more on graphic design and building up my portfolio. The bump in pay will also help. My money market account is holding little more than crumbs at this point, and I’m not relishing the idea of selling more stock to help pay for school stuff (that’s supposed to help me pay off my loans when I’m through, not sustain my existence).
I am grateful for the two years I’ve spent at CHPC. I learned a ton, and hopefully I’ve left a mark or two that’ll make them glad to have hired me. I’m moving a few buildings away so I’m sure we’ll be crossing paths often.
I’m hoping the transition to the new job will be smooth. Everyone that I’ve chatted with at the UofUAA has been friendly and fun so I’m confident it’ll work out okay.
And they serve BAGELS at their meetings. That alone is worth the price of the ticket…
