Oil companies get rich, you get poor
recent reports of mind blowing profits at oil companies constitute proof positive that we’re being bent over barstools and raped from behind?
The gall of these companies to actually BRAG about ~70% profits based on the hike in oil prices… Forgive my ignorance, but wasn’t the justification for increasing the price of oil (and, consequently, the price of gas) meant to offset LOSSES to the companies that supply all of the above? Weren’t the hands of these companies tied? “Sorry, we don’t want to raise prices but we’re hurting bad from the shortages caused by war, hurricanes, blah blah blah?”
