Sleep

I have not slept–really slept, as in REM sleep, dream sleep–in 3 days. Trazodone doesn’t help. Melatonin actually wakes me up. I’m so exhausted I’m practically hallucinating, but I still can’t sleep. And I have no earthly idea what’s causing this to happen.

  1. I wish I had some better advice for you, medication-wise, but I’m afraid I usually get things to keep me awake, not the other way around. This might be stupid, but I’m assuming you’ve tried actual sleep medications? Lunestra, whatever else, I can’t remember what they’re called…

I can tell you that I took trazadone once for about a week once. It actually made me feel much, much better as far as the non-sleep-related-things that are wrong with me - and out of the huge list of potential side effects I only found one - but the one side effect was EVIL. I stopped taking it as soon as I figured that out and haven’t touched it since.

I wish I could just give you all my extra sleepiness, cause I sure have enough to go around. Hope you get this sorted out soon. :)

  2. Okay, now I’m curious. What evil side effect caused you to stop? (Email response is fine if, y’know, you don’t want to say here.)
